Further Opportunities to Keep Growing
The sixth edition of the Bicsi Andino, the technological congress honored with the participation of the main standard bodies in the industry, is coming soon. Anixter is part of the managing board in this event representing one of the most significant scenarios in the telecomunication infrastructure and information transport field.
The Bicsi Andino technological congress will be held this month in the city of Bogotá, Colombia. There will be special exhibitions and technical conferences by  best-known experts in the industry. This congress is mainly adressed to telecommunication consultants and people responsible for the design and distribution of telecommunication cablings in both commercial and residential buildings.

Present at the event, there will be a number of top leading specialists who contributed to the standardization and development of the sector. Anixter, for example, will have its own exhibition stand and will be presenting a technological conference lectured by its Global Technogical Vice President, Andrew Jiménez, who has participated in a number of committees for the creation of the ANSI/TIA/EIA and IEEE standards. Jiménez was especially invited thanks to its wide and deep technological knowledge and his constant contributions through the development of tests in the laboratories in Chicago.

Other specialists, like Jonathan Jew, Telecommunications Consultant specialized in telco data centers planning and infrastructure, and Alan Flatman, active leader in the creation of IEEE 802 standards, will also be present at the congress. On the other hand, Carrie Higbie, member of IEEE, TIA and other cabling standardization consortiums, alongside other field experts, such as Gustavo Demesa from Ortronics, and Carlos Morrison Fell with CommScope, will also be participating and delivering special presentations.

Thanks to its participation in this congress, Anixter reinforces its commitment to technical knowledge and the constant training of their business partners. To keep moving ahead, to rapidly respond to all opportunities and to increase customers’ skills are still the key to success.
