As part of its role as business partner in the Latin American Security Association, Anixter invites all the channels, integrators and customers in the security community to take part in the ALAS Management Summit, the managerial meeting to be held at the Hilton Downtown Miami Hotel on July 21 and 22. These two days of intensive training with conferences, experts’ lectures and success stories have been designed to facilitate decision making in today’s and tomorrow’s changing scenario in the Latin American security industry.
Since 1997, the Latin American Security Association (ALAS) is the leading voice in the electronic security industry in the region and has been working in order to promote education, standardization and technological adaptation for all Latin American companies. ALAS seeks to improve these companies’ positioning in the market as well as their relationship with governments in their respective countries. For this 2010 edition, ALAS invites all industry managers to share their specialists’ and manufacturer’ experiences, tactiques and strategies, and to strengthen bonds and create long lasting business networks among colleagues.
The agenda of conferences includes presentations by Rodrigo Cigarruista, Manager of the Protection and Monitoring Authority of the Panama Canal; Germán Cortés, International Consultant; Osvaldo González García, Security Manager at Banco de Chile; Luis González Nogales, President of ALAS; Nissim Heffes Antar, CEO Honestidad Laboral/Labor Honesty, México; Enrique Lemus, President, Ledu Electronic Security; Guillermo Macias Avitia, Director of Security for Grupo Modelo; Jaime A. Moncada, Director of the Society of Fire Protection Engineers; Ralph Otero, Specialized Consultant; and Lucy Rivero Ruíz, President, Inalarm.
Reinforcing its support to ALAS and once again showing its added value, Anixter will be present in the conference agenda with a lecture by Paulo Tavares, Security Regional Director Regional, on “Distributor-Integrator Synergy to Bring Higher Benefits to End Users”.
In addition, there will be a discussion round table with a live panel of executives from security system maunufacturers, sharing their plans and projections for the electronic security market in the region. There will also be a discussion on the impact of vendors’ merges and acquisitions on distributors, integrators and end users.
