The latest trend is Video Analytics, the video analysis methodology that delights the imagination of security professionals. Through permanent filtering and automated digital selection, video analytics can identify specific conditions and notify operators about possible problems, allowing the security staff to make the most informed decisions quickly.
These new analytic functions are incorporated, with no additional cost, to Spectra™ PTZ HD cameras, Sarix® EP fixed cameras and NET5400 coders. In addition, they enable to carry out follow ups on a number of behaviors: from recognizing an unattended bag or briefcase to determining if a person is loitering a specific area. Based on a mathematic model which recognizes the background area in a scene, the system establishes the base for the background and can recognize differences in pixels when objects are  “on” or “in front of” this background. Afterwards, the system starts recognizing sizes, colors and movements.

Directional Movement
Generates an alarm to notify security personnel when a person or object moves in a specified direction. Users have a great flexibility to define areas of interest and, simultaneously, reduce nuance alarms. It is ideal to identify people moving in the opposite direction of the normal flow of traffic, for example at airports, parking areas, traffic jams and other scenes demanding for tightened security control.

Adaptative Movement
This functionality of advanced movement detection allows the system to distinguish different movements within the same scene, such as headlights, moving leaves, flags or snow. It is ideal for detecting people circulating in parking lots or perimeters. Advanced movement detection allows to reduce false alarms.

Vibration cancellation
Reduces tiny movements in video applications where cameras are subject to vibrations, providing a clear image even in these conditions. Ideal for facilities like factories, bridges, slopes, long distance focal reach, among others.

Object Removal
Triggers an alarm if a static object is subject to changes, such as for instance a price tag is removed from a work of art. This functionality allows the user to define an object or area of interest within a scene. Movement is allowed within a protected area, but when an object is removed, this action is notified with an alarm. Ideal for museums and other locations demanding high-end security performance.

Ojbect Counting
This functionality recounts objects when a movement towards a specific direction is detected. Users are provided with wide flexibility to define an area of interest. An alarm is triggered when the threshold of this area is trespassed. Ideal for vehicle counting in a highway, products in a manufacturing plant , people coming in or out of a building, among others.
