In today’s economic scenario, companies need to improve the efficiency in their data centers and, at the same time, reduce costs. With the increase in the use of applications and data being processed at the data center, these are consuming more energy and are increasing the network’s storage capacity in order to operate efficiently.

Taking this demand into account, Anixter would like to invite the channels to take part in the 2009 Seminar Series and share the film of the moment, “Solving the Data Center Optimization Puzzle: Infrastructure, Security and Sustainability”.

Organizers and presenters in this free-of-charge event are Anixter, IBM; Security Technology Executive magazine, the Telecommunications Industry Association (TIA) and some of the most renowned members of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE).

During this presentation, a panel of industry experts, together with the audience, will be debating on the problem of performance optimization and data center security, always considering the need to cut costs present in companies of all sizes today.

In addition, specialists will give a detailed account on the high performance network architectures available today, as well as the latest data center standards and IP-based security systems. Another issue that will be discussed during the seminar includes advanced power and cooling solutions that are already being incorporated in the data center to achieve these objectives.

On the other hand, participants will be able to deepen their knowledge on networking, and clear some doubts in an interactive session with the main manufacturers and engineers specializing in these issues, working with some of Anixter’s main business partners.

This series of seminars has already come a long way on movie theaters in a number of different US cities. In June, the planed venues are: Houston, TXs (June 11); Chicago (June 18) y Boston, MA (June 25).
At the end of the seminar, attendees are invited to view a current full-feature movie, and will be given two free movie tickets.
